Introducing the Panerai Radiomir Otto Giorni: A Vintage Tribute.
As a fan of Panerai watches and their history, the new Radiomir Otto Giorni is quite the dopamine hit! The PAM 01347 and PAM 01348 is a great balance between NEW and vintage inspired design cues. The 45mm Radiomir case is constructed out of eSteel, which is recycled steel, and treated with PVD to create a distressed and vintage feel. Both dials have a gradient finish which transitions from light to dark. PAM 01347 has a warm gradient brown dial while the PAM 01348 is Degradé blue with luminous Arabic numerals and hour markers. Both feature contrasting luminous steel blued hands.
The sandwich dial uses Super-Luminova for visibility at night and features the iconic Panerai numbers at 12 and 6 o’clock position. There is a sub seconds hand at 9 o’clock position and “8 Giorni Brevettato” indicating that is has an 8 day power reserve. The P.5000 hands wound caliber movement is visible through the sapphire caseback.
These two NEW models will be exclusively available at Panerai boutiques worldwide. The use of recycled eSteel and the vintage, distressed look created by the PVD treatment and the gradient dials are well executed. The brown dial of the PAM 01347 speaks to Panerai’s history, while the blue hue of the PAM 01348 offers a more modern day approach to the Radiomir design.
Since the Italian Navy commissioned the first Radiomir prototype in the 1930’s, Panerai has garnered world wide attention with its unique appeal. Whether you’re a longtime enthusiast or a recent convert, the brand is well recognized for its simplicity, character and timeless design.
Due to the unpredictable and volatile market on certain Rolex, Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet watches, prices are subject to change.
