The Inspiration Behind the Design

The collaboration between Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani of Bvlgari and Maximilian Büsser of MB&F was born out of a mutual appreciation for innovation and creativity. This marks their second collaboration, following the success of the MB&F x Bvlgari LM FlyingT Allegra in 2021. This time, they chose to reinterpret Bvlgari’s legendary Serpenti, a symbol of transformation and rebirth since its introduction in 1948.
Reimagining this emblem in MB&F’s mechanical universe required a complete reengineering of both movement and case design to ensure an unprecedented blend of artistry and precision.

Engineering MarvelThe Complex Case & Movement

The Bvlgari x MB&F Serpenti features an intricately designed case, where every curve and angle has been meticulously refined. Unlike a conventional round watch, this piece offers multiple perspectives, making each viewing angle equally mesmerizing. Constructed with five sapphire crystals, including the snake’s eyes, the case is as visually striking as it is challenging to manufacture.

Inside, the watch boasts a highly complex manual-wind MB&F in-house caliber Serpenti. The movement introduces a unique time display mechanism where the left dome rotates in 12 hours, and the right dome in 60 minutes, evoking the hypnotic gaze of a serpent. These ultra-thin aluminum domes are adorned with SuperLuminova, ensuring visibility in low-light conditions.
