To represent the three winning medals presented to athletes at the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games, Omega is proud to present a new podium of watches. These watches will be known as the “Seamaster Olympic Games Gold Collection.” Three different types of gold have been used to achieve the three timepieces of this special new collection: 18kt yellow gold, 18kt Sedna gold, and 18kt Canopus gold. New to the brand, Canopus is an exclusive white gold alloy, which is 100% noble and distinctive for its high brilliance, whiteness, and longevity.
The case is 39mm in diameter and features an 18kt gold ring which includes all the known host cities and dates from the brand’s Olympic Games journey, from Los Angeles 1932 up to Los Angeles 2028.
The movement is the Swiss automatic Omega in-house Master Chronometer caliber 8807 with 35 jewels, 25,200 vph and a power reserve of 55 hours. Co-Axial escapement. Certified Master Chronometer, approved by METAS, resistant to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss.
Free sprung-balance with silicon balance spring, automatic winding in both directions. Special luxury finish with 18kt gold rotor and balance bridge. Geneva waves in arabesque.
The domed eggshell white enamel dials feature 18kt gold “leaf” hands and applied indices. Vintage Omega logo, minute track, and Seamaster wording also done in enamel. These watches are fitted with a black or brown leather strap with a matching gold buckle. They are delivered in a special presentation box. They will retail for 16,000-17,500 Swiss Francs or $17,000-$18,500 USD’s
