Following the success of the Tudor Black Bay Bronze, Tudor has released the Black Bay Bronze Special Edition for Bucherer. For those of you who are unaware, since 1888, Bucherer has been one of the worlds leading luxury watch retailers. Over the years Bucherer has collaborated with the finest watch brands in the world.
To further strengthen these relationships and celebrate their 130th birthday, Bucherer has collaborated on a NEW partnership, the Bucherer BLUE EDITIONS an exclusive collection with Blue as central theme, imagined together with exceptional manufacturers. A source of inspiration for artists throughout ages, blue reminds us of the sky and the sea, but also of noblesse. A symbol of Bucherer, it has become a hallmark of the House and now epitomizes the uniqueness of all the new creations of the Bucherer BLUE EDITIONS. Among watch a cionados, the secret is out that blue timepieces are especially handsome and create a very classy and distinct look. Only available at Bucherer boutiques, you can be sure that your Bucherer BLUE EDITIONS watch will not only connect you with the rich tradition of watchmaking, but will also leave a modern and – frankly – very cool impression.
The NEW Tudor Black Bay Bronze Blue has all the same characteristics of the first Black Bay Bronze model except for the color of the dial, bezel and the caseback has special engraving with Bucherer’s 130th anniversary.
At first when you look at this watch, it totally reminds me of the steel and gold Rolex Submariner but when you look at it closer it’s very different. The contrast of the blue dial and bronze elements is perfectly balanced. The blue really pops and looks totally different from the first generation Black Bat Bronze model. Blue is also Tudor’s color. This color made it’s official debut in 1969 when Tudor released the Oyster Prince Submariner ref 7021 with a blue dial.
This watch has a 43 mm bronze case powered by the Tudor in house MT5601 calibre movement and it’s fitted on a NEW new blue and gold fabric strap with bronze hardware. The dial is blue with applied 3,6, 9 Arabic numerals and applied indices in between. I am sure this watch will go on to become quite the collectors item. It is only available at Bucherer boutiques. The official retail is $3,800CHF which is what the retail of the first generation Tudor Black Bay Bronze was.
