It often amazes me how some people are so passionately adversed to Rolex because they want to be different, which is awesome for the most part. I don’t judge anyone for their taste or style but most people who don’t like Rolex can’t ever give a compelling argument other than” Rolex is too common a watch.” To some degree that has some truth to it. To be fair, there are Rolex models that are more common than others but you have to be in the know. One thing that can’t be disputed is how well Rolex holds it’s value compared to most watches out there. It really is amazing when you think about it. They manufacture more watches than any other major watch brand and yet they retain their value the best.
I was recently sent a link from a good friend and client of an elderly military man who brings his 1960 Rolex GMT-Master to The Antique Roadshow expecting $1,500 and is blown away after It’s appraisal! When you watch this clip you will definitely have more respect for Rolex and understand how relevant it is. To watch the clip, click here.
