It’s only taken Fredirique Constant two years for their R&D department and watchmakers to develope, manufacture and perfect a NEW in house movement for their Slimline Moophase. This watch is fantastic! It’s available in 3 versions; one in stainless steel with silver dial for $2,895,18k rose gold pvd with silver dial and 18k rose gold pvd with black dial for $3,195.
Frederique Constant NEW Slimline Moonphase Maufacturer in stainless steel
The most impressive part is that this watch is completely in house from start to finish with moonphase complication for under 3k! The case is 38mm made out of stainless steel (which is too small fro me but then again it is a dress watch). It has a convex sapphire crystal, a display back, and it is water resistant to 30 meters. The movement is the new Swiss automatic Frederique Constant in-house caliber FC-702 with 26 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 42 hours. Date and moonphase adjustable through the crown. It features Perlage and circular Côtes de Genève decoration. Functions are: hours, minutes, moonphase, and date. It retails for $2,895. The stainless steel is fitted on a black alligator strap with stainless steel buckle. I would have thought that I would like this stainless steel version the best but I actually prefer the 18k rosegold pvd plated with silver dial more. It’s the most elegant out of all the versions. However for the money, I don’t know if there is a better dress watch out there with moonphase complication!

Frederique Constant NEW Slimline Moonphase Maufacturer in 18k rose gold pvd plated with black dial
The NEW Frederique Constant Slimline Moonphase Maufacturer in 18k rose gold pvd plated is available in silver and black dial options as pictued above. The specs on the 18k rose gold plated version are the same as the stainless steel version but the details on the dial are hand applied rose gold plated indices instead of silver indices like on the stainless steel version. This watch was originally released in 2013 with the moonphase complication and no date. It was 42 mm which for some may have been too big but for me it’s the right size. The moonphase complication was displaced at the six o’clock position on the first generation version. This NEW Frederique Slimline Moonphase has a subdial at the nine o’clcok for the date and the moonphase complication subdial is at the three o’clock position which make the watch more balance and symetric than the previous version. The 18k rose gold plated version is fitted on a dark brown alligator leather strap with 18k rose gold plated buckle . Any of these would make a great holiday gift!
