To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Dutch De Stijl Art Movement, Nomos Glashutte released the Orion L.E. De Stijl in a 100 piece limited edition. The Dutch De Stijl Art Movement is one of the Netherland’s most influential modern art. Founded in 1917 and also known as Neoplasticism, it did away with natural form and color in favor of the abstraction of both. The most well known members are Theo van Doesburg, Piet Mondriaan and Gerrit Rietveld.
The watch is 38 mm constructed out of stainless steel. The movement is the German manual-wind NOMOS in-house caliber Alpha with 17 jewels, 21,600 vph and a power reserve of 43 hours. It features blued screws, red rubies and a yellow balance wheel. The dial is white silver-plated. The hour markers each feature a different length and line weight. Deep black pencil hands. It’s fitted on a black Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan leather strap with a steel buckle. I love the simplicity and minimalism of this watch and really wish is was bigger, I want one for myself! I know this is exclusively available through a Dutch retailer. However, sInce I have a good relationship with the Nomos Glashutte brand, I may be able to help you get one.
