Complicated watches don’t interest me in the least unless they are innovative, orginal and different from anyrhing I have seen. Much is the case with the NEW Hautlence Ball-E Mechanical Pinball created for only watch! I have always been a fan of pinball machines and even collected ones from the fifites when I was younger. Mechanical watches can be complicated to begin with so adding this extra layer of displacing the time pinball style is not an easy thing to pull off.
So this is a one of a kind, unique piece that will be auctioned off in Novemeber and the proceeds will go to the research of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The case is titanium DLC treated, measures 37mm x 43.5mm x 13mm. It has a faceted sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment. The movement is a Swiss manual-wind Hautlence in-house caliber with 14 jewels. Minute repeater regulation mechanism, variable inertia regulator, rack winding, 15-seconds power reserve for the pinball, hand bevelling. 18kt gold settings, grade 5 titanium bridges, double flat stones with olive hole, black PVD main plate and barrel bridge. The dial, done in titanium, is laser decorated and cut, sand-blasted, drawn strokes, hand bevelling, bumpers with rubber rings. It has a sapphire crystal, laser cut over the entire surface of the dial, topside and underside transfers with three blued steel balls. Specific treatment with SuperLuminova on the dial displaying the head of a small robot.
It’s fitted on a black hand-stitched alligator leather strap with a titanium folding clasp. The auction estimates for this watch are between $24,000-$39,000. I hope it raises a lot more for this great cause. Please stay tuned!
