Last year Apple and Hermes collaborated to make a more fashion forward Apple Watch. You can read all about that here .
Exactly a year later the two powerhouse brands have joined forces again for a second series. This latest collection features finely handcrafted leather bands from Hermès and Apple-designed watch faces based on the iconic Clipper, Cape Cod, and Espace Hermès watches.
Series 2 Features
Stainless steel case S2 dual-core processor. Built-in GPS. Water resistant 50 meters. Sapphire crystal two times brighter OLED Retina display with Force Touch (1,000 nits). Ceramic back. Digital Crown Heart rate sensor, accelerometer, and gyroscope. Ambient light sensor. Direct fire speaker and microphone. Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n 2.4GHz). Bluetooth 4.0. Up to 18 hours of battery life.
Double Buckle Cuff pictured below
Inspired by a timeless Hermès sandal design, the Double Buckle Cuff, it is available in Etoupe Swift Leather, paired with a 38mm stainless steel case. Bands in additional colors available separately. In my opinion this strap is definitely more for a women or someone who appreciates fashion.
Single Tour Deployant Buckle pictured below
A sleek twist on an Hermès classic. The hidden deployant buckle opens with a click of the two side buttons, and the band fits comfortably and securely. Available in Fauve Barenia Leather, paired with a 42mm stainless steel case. This is definitely more classic hermes and in my opinion can be worn by a man or women in any situation.
The strap I like most is the Hermes Sports band pictured below. Nobody does orange better than Hermes. That’s their icon! Included with every Apple Watch Hermès model. Light, flexible, and water resistant, the Sport Band in signature Hermès orange is perfect for exercising.
I think the Apple watch can be a handy gadget to alert you of emails, text messages and the time but I still wouldn’t buy one. I believe the Apple Watch Hermes Series 2 will be sold exclusively at certain Apple Stores and Hermes Boutiques and will be available later this month.
