It’s perhaps one of if not the most iconic photograph of Apple founder Steve Jobs above sitting with the first Mactinosh computer . The photo is from a session with Jobs by world-famous photographer Norman Seeff.
This photo was taken at Steve Jobs home in Woodside California in 1984 in one shot, although their were many other photos taken as well.
The watch Steve Jobs was wearing in the photograph was a basic quartz Seiko reference 6431-6030.
Recently, this watch was auctioned off & included several other pieces of Steve Jobs memorabilia, authenticated by his long-time house manager, Mr. Mark Sheff (a letter of authenticity is also included).
There is nothing unique or special about this quartz watch other than the fact it was worn by the Thomas Edison of our time, Steve Jobs. The watch sold at auction for a mind blowing $42,500. Even though this watch is basic and unimpressive it’s a symbol of the times and a representation how important change is !
