Hey watch fans!
Along with Monochrome’s Rolex predictions for 2016, I thought I would include his predictions for Tudor for 2016. Since I am a massive fan of Tudor and have two of their watches I find this more interesting than his predictions for Rolex. Please note once again that these images are not official Tudor images and merely mock ups from the Monochrome website.
The Tudor Pelagos GMT (with in-house movement)
Since the return of Tudor I have always wondered if they would release a watch with a GMT function. I was hoping they would execute this in the black bay case. For 2016, Monochrome has predicted that Tudor could release a Pelagos GMT with the in house movement that was released last year. At first I was dismissive when I saw it but the more I looked at it the more it made sense. If it came out in the Pelagos model, I am sure it would be available in both the black and blue dial variations. If this happens I have to get one! This would be a Submariner and GMT-Master in one watch! The only thing it would lack would be the versatility of the polished case for elegance. We will just have to wait and see!
The Tudor North Flag Chronograph
The watch world was blown away last year when Tudor released their first watch with an in house movement for under 4k with the North Flag. Personally, I thought it was an interesting piece but not for me. It’s way too modern and digital looking but I can see how people could like it. This year Monochrome has predicted that Tudor could release a North Flag Chrono with in house movement on a strap and bracelet with horizontal subdial displacement and same black dial with Arabic numerals as the non chrono version. Even though I am not a fan of the Tudor North Flag I can totally see this watch being produced because it looks right and proportionate. I really hope that Tudor doesn’t release a chronograph in the Black Bay case. All the other chronographs they have are absolutely fine.
