The Tangente Neomatik Nachtblaue The Minimatik Nachtblau The Metro Neomatik Nachtblau The Tetra Neomatik Nachtblau
Last year, Nomos Glashuette released the NEW collection of automatic watches known as the Neomatik collection. This collection is their most versatile collection because it offers something for both him and her. It has done incredibly well for the brand. You can read all about that, here
Just in time for this holiday season Nomos Glashuette offers 4 Neomatik models with NEW blue dials. This includes; The Tangente Neomatik Nachtblaue, The Minimatik Nachtblau, The Metro Neomatik Nachtblau and the Tetra Neomatik Nachtblau.
The Nomos Tangente Neomatik Nachtblau above in the first picture is the brands icon and has been available since the early nineties. This watch has won way too many design awards to list. It’s available in 35.8 mm in the NEW Nachtblau dial. It retails for $3,580.
The Nomos Minimatik was released last year with the launch of the NEW in house DUW3001 movement. This is my favorite in terms of styling, design and fit. The NEW Nachtblau above in the second picture above is clean, modern and cool. It’s 35.5mm with a domed sapphire crystal and retails for $3,800. I wish is was more like 40-42 mm. I can still admire it from a far.
In 2014 Martin Braun designed the Nomos Metro collection. This has proved to be one of their most successful collections to date. It has won many design awards including; the German Design Award, the Good Design Award, and the iF Product Design Award. The NEW Nomos Metro Neomatik Nachtblau above in the third pic above is just 35mm in diameter. The largest diameter in a Metro is 38mm. It retails for $3,960.
The last of the 4 watches is called the Tetra Neomatik Nachtblau in the fourth picture above. The Tetra was one of the smallest watches made by Nomos at 27mm until this year at Baselworld 2016. Nomos released a bigger 33 mm size. This was incredible well received by the press and the like. The NEW Nomos Tetra Nemomatik Nachtblau is for that person who never considered of wearing and elegant and modern perfectly square watch with that pop of color. The NEW Tetra Neomatik Nachtblau retail is $3,980.
In my opinion all of these watches with midnight blue dials are just what the doctor ordered. For years I was against anything blue dial. But as we have seen with Nomos, they do it right! The contrast is unbelievable and timeless. The hands on the 4 watches are rhodium plated and have orange sub seconds hands at the six o’clock position. They are all quite slim in profile and their case diameter is for those men who like wearing a vintage watch in a modern day case as well as women who want something different than a traditional ladies watch. The DUW3001 in house manufactured movement is what powers all 4 timepieces. The movement can be visibly seen through the sapphire crystal case back. All NEW models are fitted on black Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan black, remborde, hand-stitched; NOMOS buckle clasp. The best part is they all retail for under 4k!
