Paneristi are the most dedicated Panerai enthusiasts in the world. They are celebrating their 15th anniversary and Panerai has decided to release the fourth Paneristi edition watch known as the PAM00634 to embrace this milestone.
Unlike the last three Paneristi watches that Panerai have released, The PAM00634 is constructed out of stainless steel not black PVD. This watch is 44 mm is size, the dial is a base dial with four Arabic Numeral Panerai numbers, an OP logo in blue above the six o’clock (which is a first) and “Paneristi” is engraved on the patented device protecting the crown. The super lumonova is ivory colored to emmualte the look of tritium which was used on all the pre-vendome models from the 1990’s. The PAM00634 is a Luminor equipped with the 56 hour hand-wound OP I movement (which is basically a Unitas 6497 movement). The watch is water resistant to 100 meters and Paneristi.com and 15th anniversary are engraved on the solid stainless steel snap on caseback.
Two things that will definitely piss off Panerai collectors and enthusiasts royally is that spring bars are used instead of screw bars and the case back is a snap on caseback instead of screw down which to me is kind of a cop out. Panerai have always used screw bars and screw down casebacks on their watches . so this is a first and I am not impressed.
The New PAM00634 is limited to 500 pieces for the world and will retail for $4,200 which is quite reasonably priced for a limited edition Panerai. To find out how to order this watch, please click
