This Baselworld 2015, Tag Heuer announced its partnership with world famous French DJ, David Guetta. In true Tag Heuer fashion, the partnership was cemented with a NEW Special Edition Formula 1 David Guetta watch.

He’s one of the most followed people on the planet with an incredible social reach. David Guetta has established himself as not just a dance icon but the music icon for this generation. He sold over 9 million albums and 35 million Tracks Wordwide, and has chosen to represent the Swiss watch brand.
When you look at the watch, you can see the inspiration drawn closely from the Rolex Day/night Blue/Black GMT. This watch is dedicated to David Guetta. The colors of blue/black are perfect for travel with GMT Day/Night colors and for partying it up around the globe.
The case is 43 mm and constructed out of black titanium carbide stainless steel. It has a sapphire crystal and a black and blue aluminium bezel with GMT scale. David Guetta Edition engraving with chequerboard on caseback. It is water resistant to 200 meters.
The movement is the Swiss automatic TAG Heuer caliber 7 Twin Time (base ETA) with 21 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 46 hours. It features a GMT complication.
The dial is opaline black, polished, hand-crafted appliques and index with blue SuperLuminova, faceted and rhodium-plated hour and minute hands with blue SuperLuminova. Seconds hand with blue tip. Blue GMT hand with white SuperLuminova.
It comes on a an aged black calfskin strap with cuff and a titanium carbide-treated ardillon buckle with TAG Heuer engraving.
I am not a fan of David Guetta’s name printed on the dial, it should have been on the caseback only. That being said, this is a smart move for Tag Heuer to have such an iconic figure in the world of EDM(Electronic Dance Music) represent as a global brand ambassador to a NEW generation of consumers.
