Nomos Glashutte just released a new watch that I absolutely love. This is called the Minimatik. Even though I could do without the sub-seconds hand at the base six o’clock position, the Minimatik combines minimalist Bauhaus design with timelessness.
I really wish this watch was bigger in size but I am sure at some point it will happen. The case of the NEW Nomos Minimatik is 35.5 mm and made out of stainless steel. It has a curved sapphire crystal, a sapphire display back, and it is water resistant to 30 meters.
The movement is the German automatic NOMOS in-house caliber DUW 3001 with 27 jewels, 21,600 vph and a power reserve of 42 hours. It features the patented NOMOS swing system with tempered blue balance spring. It has a Glashütte three-quarter plate, Incabloc shock protection, tempered blue screws, rhodium-plated movement surfaces with Glashütte ribbing and NOMOS perlage and it is adjusted to six positions.
The dial is is galvanized white silver-plated, with pearled indices are steel, red lacquered hands. The 5 Arabic numerals and dots are blue and provide a great contrast.
