Hautlence watches are a complicated independent watch maker who are known for making futuristic watches that are TV shaped. The brand was Co- Founded by Guillaume Tetu, who I interviewed back in June at JCK 2014 in Las Vegas. If you missed the interview, you can check it out by clicking, here.
The brand was launched in 2004. Now only 10 years later, Guillaume and his team partnered with European Footballer and legend, Eric Cantona earlier this year. They have come together to create the companies first chronograph, The Invictus Morphos.
The reason it has been called the Invictus Morphos is because Eric Cantona is known as this which comes from the Latin Phrase “unbeaten and unbeatable” and the butterfly of the same name.
This watch was designed and developed in unison by by Guillaume Tetu, CEO and co-founder of Hautlence and French international footballer Eric Cantona.
This watch is limited to 250 pieces for the world .Eric Cantona is directly involved in multiple aspects of the products that bear his name, including a new advertising campaign in commemoration of the tenth Anniversary of Hautlence. Incorporating a visual that stands out by its refined, serious nature, this chronograph features him in the campaign entitled, Cross the Line: an open invitation to be different and stand out become a member of the Gentlemen Rebels Club.
This watch has a rectangular 42 mm case constructed out of brushed titanium. The dial represents the color and iridescent reflections of the blue butterfly for which it is named, while mother-of-pearl insets illuminated with black decals emulate the markings on its wings.
The caseback is numbered and engraved with the name “INVICTUS”, along with Eric Cantona’s signature and an engraving of his digital fingerprint – a kind of entrance pass to the Gentlemen Rebels Club of which he and every owner of a Hautlence timepiece are members.
