I am thrilled to report on what could be the best value propositions of the year! Bell & Ross have released the NEW Vintage BR 123 GMT 24H and it’s just awesome! This vintage inspired watch is for that frequent flyer on the run who wants dual time zones executed in a very clean and concise way.
The design language is very reminiscent of a vintage Rolex explorer II. For starters, this watch has a round 42 mm stainless steel satinized polished case. The functions are hours, minutes, seconds, date. Second time zone 24h (GMT).
The dial is black with applied metal indices and 4 Arabic numerals of 12, 3, 6,&9. The hour an minute hands are metal and filled with super luminova. There is a small date wheel at the 4 o’clock position, which I feel is completely unnecessary because it throws off the design language in my opinion. The orange hand for second time zone provides great contrast and gives it that vintage Rolex Explorer II feel as does the 24 hour graduated bezel. The watch has a mechanical automatic movement and is fitted on a woven rubber strap with satin polished steel pin buckle for the incredible value of $3,600.
I think for the money, you can’t really do better for a watch with a second timezone, that has a really iconic vintage feel, while still being well made from a major watch brand.
