One of the many things NYC is known for besides being the greatest city in the world are their iconic yellow taxi cabs.
Even though it’s a kind of random thing to make a limited watch after, Hublot have decided to release a limited edition King Power 692 Bang New York limited edition, inspired by the colors of the NYC Yellow Cab.
This watch will be limited to 26 pieces and will be exclusively available at the Hublot Boutique Flagship Boutique for America in NYC on Madison Ave. The case-back is adorned with a sketch of the Madison Avenue boutique façade, a building designed by renowned architect Peter Marino and inspired by the grand luxury townhouses of New York’s historic Upper East Side neighborhood.
In the words of Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe, “The Hublot brand is thrilled to honor our New York City clients and City enthusiasts with the limited edition King Power 692 Bang. The Madison Avenue boutique, opened in 2011, is Hublot’s flagship in America, and we are excited to honor our history with this great city. Inspired by the yellow NYC Taxi, a city icon, this timepiece allows our customer to celebrate Hublot with New York pride.”
This watch boasts a 48 mm case constructed out of microblasted black ceramic, titanium and rubber. The bezel is available in grey or black ceramic, while the dial is black with contrasting yellow counters, minute track and hands. The crystal is AR coated and the watch has a water resistance to 100 meters. The watch is fitted on a black rubber and hornback crocodile strap with yellow stitching and a black titanium buckle, with a second yellow strap is included.
