Parmigiani is by far one of the best independent watch makers out there today. Not only do they make their own innovative, technical and classic watches from start to finish in their own factory, they are technical restorators, and make movements for some of the top watch brands in the world including, Patek Philippe, Richard Mille & Hermes to name a few.
Parmigiani just released the NEW Tecnica Ombre Blanche. The functions of this watch include a very impressive, hours and minutes, power reserve indicator, minute repeater wound by the bezel, perpetual calendar and Tourbillon.
This watch boasts a 45 mm case made out of polished 18k rose gold. the dial is made out of White Enammel Grande Fu with all 12 hand applied Arabic numerals in 18k rose gold. What makes this watch even more appealing is its contrast and legibility. Watches with highly complicated functions can tend to look crowded, confusing and overwhelmingly difficult to read. The contrast between the Grande Fu Enameling and the hand applied Arabic Numerals, the perpetual calendar between the nine and three o’clock position, the Tourbillion between the eight and four o’clock position, make this watch easy to read and visually stunning to look at. The hands are delta shaped and have superluminova coating and the the watch is fitted on a Havana brown crocodile strap made by Hermes.
The minute repeater function sounds the hours, quarter-hours and minutes on 2 cathedral gongs. The movement is displayed through the sapphire crystal caseback and is the Swiss manual-wind Parmigiani in-house caliber PF351 with 39 jewels, 21,600 vph and a power reserve of 42 hours and features a hand-bevelled main plate and bridges.
