I have always been a lover of all things skull related in terms of design. Let me clarify that, not every skull design but specific skull designs. For instance, The Mexican Day of the Dead designs and patterns have always been intriguing to me and now for the first time, I see it incorporated in a wrist watch in a very refined, sophisticated and technical way.
Fiona Kruger is the brilliant artistic genius who has brought us the NEW Skull Watch. By drawing inspiration from a 17th century skull designed watch given to Mary Queen of Scots and carefully paying attention to the Day of the Dead skull designs and patterns and consistently drawing skull patterns from her early days in art school and refining it to a more technical level of design, Fiona Kruger has been able to transcend this design into an incredibly well made wrist watch.
The Skull watch is designed in a shape of a skull and is available in two variations, white & black. These are limited edition to twelve pieces per model. A lot of work and finishing goes into making these Skull watches come alive. These watches are made in Switzerland with the help of some of the best artisans that the industry has to offer. The movements are mechanical manual wind 5 day movements manufactured by Technotime and assembled from start to finish by an individual watchmaker at their atelier in the Jura region of Switzerland. The Skulls hand decorated 3 layered dial mimics the aesthetics of the movement underneath, highlighting the mechanical aspect of the watch. For more info, please visit the Fionna Kruger website
