Chopard, the renowned French luxury watch and jewelery maker just acquired Union Hôtelière Parisienne, the company that owns the landmark Hôtel de Vendôme at 1 Place Vendôme in Paris.
The place Vendôme was the ancient manor of the Vendôme family that was later commissioned by King Louis XIV as an architectural ornament for the city. Originally, just 27 hôtels (mansions) were designed to surround the square. The elegant hôtel at 1 Place Vendôme was built in 1723 as the private residence of Pierre Perrin, secretary to King Louis XIV.
As of today, the hotel has 29 rooms. which includes 10 suites and a penthouse. On the ground floor of the Hotel is Chopard’s Flagship Boutique, while a very upscale and reputable restaurant is located on the first floor
