Years ago ,when I use to wear a Glashutte Original watch, people would always admire and comment on the incredibly well finished, in-house movement and say to me, this should be on the front of the watch.
I guess Glashutte Original heard these anthems from the past loud and clear because for this year at Basel 2014, they have decided to release the Panomatic Inverse.
The Panomatic inverse will be available in stainless steel and 18krg and is 42mm in case width. On the front of the watch we see the striping of the plate with the hours and minutes in steel blue which is intersected at the base by the sub seconds hand in steel blue also. On this plate we also see the beautifully finished blued screws and panorama date at the two o’clock position. Then diagonally between the 3 o’clock and 7 o’clock position we see the hand engraved double swan neck regulator which is recessed . When the watch is flipped over we see the in house automatic GO 91-02 movement with 21 kt rotor.
Whether you are wearing this watch in stainless steel or in 18k rose gold, Glashutte Original is able to accomplish masterful horology at it’s finest but in an everyday wearing practical German way that I have yet to see in a Swiss watch brand.
