Sometimes you just don’t want to spend 3 month’s salary om a nice watch. More often then not, you just want something dependable and stylish that can be worn casually that you can beat up without worrying about it.
I got to the perfect watch for you. In the last 8 years, Toy Watch have been making incredibly stylish and dependable watches at very reasonable and accessible price points. Even though the company has only been around since 2006, they have made a giant impact in the watch industry at their price point. I would say, Toy Watch are like the Swatch Watch of this Generation.
Recently, Toy Watch just released the new Vintage Collection. In the words of Toy Watch from their website, “The Vintage collection, with Just Time, Chrono and Lady versions, pays tribute to these models that have made the history of watches. The details in line with the haute horlogerie style of the 60’s and 70’s are revamped with a trendy and metropolitan touch. ToyWatch Vintage is a line of watches that fascinate the most demanding connoisseurs with its air of times gone by, and captures the interest of a more vast public due to the harmony and equilibrium of their design. Style, precious details, coloured canvas wrist straps matched with trendy combinations, create a most unusual match which boast great impact and personality. The Vintage collection aims to pay tribute to the watches that have made history.”
This is a simple three handed watch with functions including: hours, minutes, date and seconds hand. The movement is a Japanese Quartz ebouche movement and has a mineral glass crystal with a water resistance of 100 meters.
In my opnion, these watches look a lot like old Rolex Military Submariners which are really cool, expensive and sought after. The best part of the new Toy Watch Vintage Diver is that their cases are 40mm, made out of hand brushed stainless steel and steel PVD. The dials are bold and legible with sword hands and are fitted on steel bracelets or canvas straps all for under $300.
