Romaine Jerome has partnered up with Warner Bros Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Entertainment, to create a unique limited edition watch called Batman -DNA to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Batman.
This watch is a limited edition of 75 pieces for the world and is constructed out of stainless steel black PVD and is 46 mm in diameter. It has a faceted steel black PVD bezel with polished and satin-brushed finishes. The crystal is sapphire. It has a Batman medallion engraved on the caseback done in RJ’s “rough” finish, and it is water resistant to 30 meters.
The movement is the Swiss automatic Romain Jerome caliber RJ001-A with 23 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 42 hours.
The black matte lacquer dial has a Batman applique with “Graphite” effect engraving filled with black SuperLuminova (blue emission) and a polished RJ logo applied on the dial. The hands are black satin-brushed with SuperLuminova. It’s fitted on a black hornback crocodile strap with a steel black PVD buckle and retails for $18,500.
I am not the biggest Romain Jerome fan , but I think they executed this limited edition watch to celebrate one of the coolest comic book franchises in the world like Batman perfectly.
The watch represents both sides of Batman in a modern day way that speaks to both the watch collector and the die hard Batman fan.
