Two vintage watches that were gifted by Elvis Presley & Governor Nelson A Rockefeller will be up for auction at Antiquorum December 11, 2014 at the Rossevelt Hotel in NYC.
The first watch, Omega Black Dial Constellation Calendar, was owned by “The King” Elvis Presley himself. He later gifted this watch to his close friend, Charlie Hodge, the watch is a rare self-winding, center seconds stainless steel and pink gold-capped chronometer wristwatch with black dial produced in 1960. It is further accompanied by a letter of attestation from Charlie Hodge.
Auction estimates are between $ 10,000 -$20,000
The second watch, an 18K Patek Philippe Ref# 1463 manual wind dual registered chronograph, gifted by Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller to his Counsel Roswell B. Perkins in 1959. Made circa 1956. This exceptional timepiece was given to Roswell B. Perkins in appreciation of work done by Perkins in the Governor’s first legislative year and is engraved “R. B. P, Jan. 1 Mar. 25, 1959, N.A.R.”
