Breitling Chronomat 44mm Raven Breitling Chronomat 44mm Raven
There is no doubt that orange is the new red. In the last few years, watch companies are using the color orange to highlight or accent their watch dials and tach scales and it’s just awesome.
Recently Breitling released the Chronomat 44 Raven. I am not really a Breitling fan, but I do like the execution of this watch because of it’s contrast and robust case design.
The case is 44mm and made out of satinized black carbon steel. The bezel is the unidirectional rotating bezel and has orange rubber inlaid numerals. I like the process of how it’s done, but the numerals on the bezel do look a bit cartoonish and out of sorts with this color combination.
The movement is the Swiss automatic Breitling in-house caliber 01 with 47 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 70 hours. It is COSC-certified as a chronometer. It features a black rotor with orange markings.
I love the profile of the dial and how it’s recessed and has depth which l is black Onyx with vintage luminous hands and an orange inner bezel, orange chronograph seconds hand as well as the counter pointers. This watch can be fitted on a diver pro or ocean racer rubber strap.
