Panerai PAM00372- 47mm 1950 3 Days
There has been a lot of flip flopping with what is really going on with the iconic and amazing Panerai PAM00372 – 47mm 1950 3 Days.
The watch was released in 2012 at the retail price of $10,400. I was smitten when I first saw it and had to have it! Initially the press on this watch was amazing. Panerai had shown their collectors that the brand was actually cool again by releasing it. A lot of Panerai collectors subsequently hemmed and hawed because there were way too many pieces being produced, it had a Plexi glass crystal not sapphire and the price was too high. In February of this year when Panerai had their price increase, they dropped the retail price from 10,400 to $10,000 which made those people who owned this watch at the original retail price completely bonkers and irate, because now the brand was actually devaluing this legend of time.
Panerai always has tricks up their sleeve and pulled out the smoking ace they needed by releasing the highly anticipated Panerai PAM00587 last month, which you can read about here.
We are now on Q as a serial number for Panerai and according to some information I received, the PAM00372 will not be produced with a Q serial number. This leads me to believe the watch is being discontinued . Panerai PAM00372 first serial number was N in 2012.
If the watch will be discontinued, this is good for anyone who owns a Panerai PAM00372, especially those who own with serial# N. This means the price of this watch will eventually increase in value, be highly sought after and get the necessary respect that it deserves.
