Now that Tudor watches have officially made their grand return back to the US Market, you gotta wonder how will this affect the competition?
Who are Tudor Watches competitors? Well, any major sports watch brand between the $2,000-$6,000 range who have momentum, heritage and brand recognition. This includes Tag Heuer, Breitling, Panerai and many others. So far, Tudor have been incredibly well received in just a short period of time and there has been an excitement passion and genuine buzz that I haven’t seen surrounded by a watch brand in many years.
I think the return of Tudor watches will do many positive things within the watch industry. I believe it will open the market up and force people to take a good look at the other brands around Tudor as a base of comparison, even though there really is no competition in my opinion because Tudor is the leader in that segment of the market.
This will give people a reason who are entering the watch market for the first time, to become passionate and not only learn about it’s history and relationship and deep Rolex DNA, but start collecting something real, well made and completely original.
Tudor may not be the right watch for everyone, so as a result the other brands will definitely benefit from having such a powerful force enter the market because the awareness of other brands and their sales will rise as a result of it.
Lastly, the return of Tudor watches in the United States will solidify to the people who purchase this watch will be excited and vested in collecting multiple pieces. They will truly have something to look forward to as time progresses because eventually they will want to graduate to the all Mighty King that is Rolex.
