In 1997, Jerome Lambert joined heritage watch brand Jaeger-LeCoultre as a financial controller. In 2000 he became the CFO and two years later in 2002 became one of the most successful CEO’s of a major watch brand. Now 16 years later, it has become official as of this past week that Mr. Lambert will be moving on from Jaeger-LeCoultre. This has become an outstanding brand that he rebuilt with an incredible team, led by his passion, vision, and conviction to turn this brand around into one of the most sought after watch brands in the world. Jerome Lambert will be taking on the title as the official CEO of Montblanc worldwide July 1, 2013.
For those of you who are unfamiliar, Montblanc like Jaeger-LeCoultre is a brand owned by the Richemont Group. Montblanc is a very powerful brand specializing and world renowned primarily for pens accessories and luxury leathers. Within the last 5-7 years, they have been focusing their attention on the luxury watch market. This move to have Mr. Lambert run this brand should prove to be very interesting. This gets me very excited about the future of Montblanc. In my opinion, there is no one better to run a brand like Montblanc than Jerome Lambert because of his vast experience and tremendous proven track record.
Under the direction of Jerome Lambert, Jaeger-LeCoultre is a brand that has the most awarded internationally and received something close to 200 international prizes for best watch, best chronograph, best special watch, etc. With the help of a great team, Mr Lambert has managed to ensure Jaeger-LeCoultre be taken seriously amongst watch collectors, enthusiasts, press, celebrities and the general public. Since 2005 the brand has also registered about 20 patents a year for their technical ingenuity.
I would sincerely like to congratulate Mr Lambert on all of the triumphs he has achieved in building Jaeger-LeCoultre over the last 16 years. I wish him nothing but continued success health and happiness with his newest role as CEO of Montblanc. I am sure he will further enhance the image of this brand globally and bring it to a level of success we haven’t seen yet.
