Laurent Ferrier released the Classic Auto Horizon
A New Icon in Blue
With the release of the NEW Classic Auto Horizon, Laurent Ferrier brings a new permanent addition to its portfolio—refined, functional, and remarkably balanced. Launched just in time for Watches and Wonders 2025, this watch introduces a bold horizon blue dial within a familiar form.
When Elegance Meets Endurance
The 40mm stainless steel case preserves the brand’s iconic pebble-smooth profile, inspired by 19th-century pocket watches. Although rooted in history, the silhouette feels modern in hand. Rounded and polished surfaces offer visual softness, while its resilient construction promises long-lasting durability.
The Dial That Captures Open Skies
At first glance, the translucent blue lacquer dial demands attention. Underneath, a silver galvanic base creates contrast, while vertical satin-brushing through the center mimics the lines of a distant horizon. The outer minute track, with its circular satin finish, adds visual balance and legibility.
A sharply beveled date aperture at 3 o’clock brings both style and function. Framed in deep blue, it features slate grey numerals on a white disc—an elegant choice that speaks to clarity and refinement. Drop-shaped indices and Assegai-style white gold hands reinforce Laurent Ferrier’s signature aesthetic.
Mechanical Strength, Inside and Out
Powering the Horizon is the LF270.01 automatic calibre, developed in-house and originally seen in the Sport Auto. Its 950 platinum micro-rotor sits between the mainplate and rotor bridge, ensuring smooth and efficient winding.
The movement includes a Swiss lever escapement, a unidirectional ball bearing, and a 72-hour power reserve. These elements combine to deliver reliability in both daily wear and extended use.
Movement Finishing That Speaks for Itself
Flip the watch over, and the exhibition caseback reveals high-level craftsmanship: mirror-polished bevels, rhodium-plated Côtes de Genève, and hand-finished interior angles. The mechanical beauty rivals its exterior elegance, offering something extraordinary for collectors who appreciate depth and detail.
A Watch for the Refined Explorer
Priced at $52,000, the Laurent Ferrier Classic Auto Horizon is a quiet show of intention—balancing legacy with innovation and transitioning effortlessly from formal occasions to everyday wear. For today’s thoughtful collector, it captures the essence of restraint and the joy of purposeful design.
Due to the unpredictable and volatile market on certain Rolex, Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet watches, prices are subject to change.
