Frédérique Constant dropped the NEW Classic Perpetual Calendar
A New Era of Accessible Complication
Frédérique Constant pushes the boundaries of affordability and craftsmanship with the updated Classic Perpetual Calendar Manufacture. This 2025 edition pairs refined design with technical upgrades while preserving the brand’s original mission—delivering high horology at accessible prices.
How Big Is the Frédérique Constant Perpetual Calendar?
Now housed in the brand’s updated Classic case, the new model features a 40mm stainless steel diameter and a 12.1mm thickness. Its slimmer lugs and gentler lines emphasize vintage elegance while maintaining modern wearability. Water resistance reaches 5 ATM, making it suitable for everyday use.
A Salmon Dial with Vintage Soul
The salmon-colored dial introduces warmth and character, favored by collectors for its subtle glow. Two hand-polished Dauphine hands sweep across a sunburst backdrop, surrounded by a sector-style minute track. The hour markers are slender, allowing room for the calendar subdials:
-
Months and leap years at 12 o’clock
-
Days at 9 o’clock
-
Date at 3 o’clock
At 6 o’clock, a Moon Phase complication completes the layout. Each subdial sits within a stepped frame, adding depth without clutter.
Elegance in the Details
By removing numeral hour markers, the design remains clean and timeless. The minimalistic layout draws attention to the calendar features without distraction. As a result, the watch balances technical complexity with effortless grace.
Powered by the In-House FC-776 Caliber
Driving the timepiece is the newly developed Manufacture FC-776 caliber—the 34th in-house movement created by Frédérique Constant. It offers a 3-day power reserve, a frequency of 4 Hz, and a highly dependable perpetual calendar mechanism. The movement is adjusted and tested in six positions, ensuring excellent accuracy under real-life conditions.
Visible through the sapphire caseback, the FC-776 shares its base with the proven FC-775 caliber, reinforcing its reliability. This upgraded movement includes the 2024 refinements derived from calibers 706 through 716.
How Much Is the Frédérique Constant Classic Perpetual Calendar?
The Frédérique Constant Classic Perpetual Calendar Manufacture remains one of the most affordable perpetual calendars in fine watchmaking. At a retail of $9,995 USD, it continues to undercut most Swiss-made perpetual calendars significantly—bringing mechanical mastery within reach.
A Legacy of Accessibility and Excellence
Since its founding in 1988, Frédérique Constant has upheld its mission to make Swiss watchmaking accessible. With this latest release, the brand improves both aesthetics and mechanics—proving once again that complication doesn’t have to mean compromise.
Due to the unpredictable and volatile market on certain Rolex, Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet watches, prices are subject to change.
